Fashion expert, style risk taker, and beauty socialite Olivia Palermo has been the definition of “style goals” for a number of years. If you don’t recognize Olivia’s name off the top of your head, you might remember her as the “PR Intern” for Diane von Früstenberg on MTV’s “The Hills” spin-off show: The City. A reality show that followed (now) clothing designer Whitney Port on her fashion journey from California to New York City.

Although The City was short lived, Olivia has since made quite a name for herself. Currently having a successful career that has landed her over 4.9 million Instagram followers, a full-time flourishing website consisting of various blogs about her travels, fashion and beauty, and the ability to collaborate with some of the world’s leading fashion and beauty brands.

Olivia has been involved in the fashion industry since 2009 and has grown so much since then that she has truly become a brand and connoisseur of style. She has done numerous collaborations with not only clothing brands, but also beauty brands (such as Ciaté London). In 2016, one of these collaborations lead Olivia to become the first Women’s Global Style Ambassador for Banana Republic. Her talent when it comes to fashion and knowledge of fashion has her consistently sitting front row at the hottest fashion shows throughout the year and even being a model from time to time. She is not only inspiring in her clothing selections, but confident in her style.

Having Olivia be so bold and self-assured with her style and how she presents herself, truly makes her an inspiration when it comes to wearing women’s tuxedos and suits. Popping up frequently in her attire as seen at various events through the years, Olivia shows us multiple ways to style, accessorize, and confidently wear a power suit. Whether she is wearing white trousers paired with a matching white tuxedo jacket, posing in an all-black ensemble with black tuxedo tight leg pants and no shirt underneath her blazer for a plunging neckline effect, or matching a patterned pantsuit with a completely different patterned blouse and a pair of flats; her “out of the box” taste and love for fashion shines through with each outfit. Olivia provides proof that when it comes to making a statement in fashion (and what you choose to wear), dressing in something other than a gown or dress is not only fashion-forward, but underrated and completely classic.
